Splitfam: Share Expenses with Friends helps people track shared expenses and settle balances. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices—specifically for the iOS (App Store) version.

Data We Collect

• Account information: name, email, profile picture when you sign up with Google or Apple.
• Expense data: transactions, amounts, dates, currency, descriptions, payer, participants, settlement records.
• Contacts (optional): if you invite people, their identifiers are stored to associate them with expenses.
• Subscription & payment: receipts, plan type, status. Payments handled by Apple App Store.
• Device & usage data: model, OS version, crash logs, anonymous usage metrics.
• Identifiers: Advertising Identifier (IDFA) if you allow tracking.

Why We Collect It

• Authenticate and manage your account.
• Store and sync expenses securely in the cloud.
• Manage subscriptions and premium features.
• Serve and measure ads (AdMob) in the free version.
• Improve app stability and performance.

Data Storage

Your data is stored locally and in the cloud (e.g., Firebase). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase: authentication, database, storage.
• Sign in with Google / Apple: authentication.
• Apple App Store: subscription payments.
• AdMob: ads, may collect IDFA, IP, device info, ad interactions.

Advertising & Tracking

Ads served via AdMob. On iOS, ATT prompt will ask for tracking consent. You may opt out anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Data Sharing

• With people you invite to share expenses.
• With providers (Firebase, AdMob, Apple).
• If required by law.

Security

We use encryption (TLS/HTTPS) and safeguards to protect your data.

Your Rights

Not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
